VDL ETG Projects has a long track record in designing and building customized R&D tools, pilot equipment and first-of-a-kind production lines for various industrial sectors. The company has also been creating new machinery solutions and has been building equipment based novel roll-to-roll (R2R) and sheet-to-sheet (S2S) concepts suitable for the manufacturing of flexible electronics at high yields and low costs of ownership. Among these, thin-film deposition techniques in vacuum or at atmospheric pressure have been applied to create functional layers on plastic and metallic webs. The novel equipment of VDL ETG Projects is being used in the areas of flexible solar cells (OPV, CIGS, perovskite), new battery technologies, flexible OLED displays, flexible integrated circuits.
