Organic electronics from material development to components

Company profile

Fraunhofer IAP has more than 20 years of experience in organic electronic research focusing on solution processed devices with applications in OLED, OTFT, OPV, perovskite solar cells, sensors and actuators. For material development to device processing different tools are available for device fabrication from lab to pilot scale in a clean room environment. An integrated printing farm offers techniques such as inkjet printing, slot die coating, knife coating and electrohydrodynamic jet printing. In a robot controlled S2S manufacturing pilot line, substrate sizes of up to 150 mm x 150 mm can be processed into functional devices including evaporation, inkjet printing and encapsulation techniques. The integration of functional devices in every day applications is an important task for the cooperation with the industry. In close cooperation with machine manufacturers, we are developing processes for future production plants for organic electronic applications.
