The Fraunhofer IAP has more than 30 years of experience in the research of organic electronics with a focus on printable materials and devices. Applications include OLEDs, QD-LEDs, electrochromism, electrocaloric devices, batteries, fuel cells, OPVs, perovskite solar cells, sensors and actuators. From laboratory to pilot production, a multitude of processing technologies is available. These include fully equipped synthesis laboratories for polymers and quantum dot materials as well as inkjet printing, slot die coating, doctor blading, EHD-jet printing, electrospinning, spin-coating and dispense printing. A pilot plant enables processing under inert gas, including vapour deposition techniques and thin-film encapsulation (ALD). The integration of functional components into everyday applications is an important aspect of our co-operation with industry. In partnership with engineering companies, we are offering one-stop solutions for the production of novel organic electronic components.
